Melinda Looi & Amber Chia Launch "ML x AC" Chinese New Year Collection

ML x AC , pronounced as "Melinda Looi and Amber Chia" is a Malaysian fashion's most exciting collaboration this Chinese New Year. 

Jointly Designed by the accomplished fashion designer Melinda Looi and top celebrity model Amber Chia, the collection titled 緣 Yuan : The Beauty of Serendipity, was inspired by the Chinese concept of Yuan ("the binding force") that links two persons together in any relationship". 

In English, the word Yuan is most closely translated to serendipity, which also means "finding something good without looking for it".

It is also Yuan that brought Melinda and Amber together. The duo, who are now considered industry veterans, have known each other since the early stages of their respective careers in the fashion industry in Year 2000. 

The collection combines Bright, auspicious colors with a variety of fabrics and textures to represent the many faces and personalities of people that are said to be the inspiration behind this collection.

How perfect for Chinese New Year??? :D

After hearing more about the two designer and model, I actually got to mingle around with the other invited photographers, designers, marketers, bloggers and of course, Amber Chia and Melinda Looi themselves!

The "Tea Session" was actually held at the top notch restaurant , Salt Grill & Sky Bar, located at the top of Ion Orchard. Nothing but the best!

We were greeted with two different sets of tea time menus - one savory, and the other sweet.

Left to right, clockwise : Sashimi of Kingfish, Mocha Creme Brulee, Lemongrass Pana Cotta with Chargrilled Pineapples, Roasted Cherry Tomatoes served with Burrata Cheese, peppers and grilled bread.

This as we can all tell, is the Savory one!

The food was amazingly delish! Which I already knew because it was my second time visiting Salt Grill and Sky Bar. The first time we actually went on our own and spent > $200/pax on dinner.
It was really costly, but the quality of the food was no doubt top notch :)

So so blessed and happy to be back at Salt Grill again, and this time with the company of so many pretty ladies!
We really felt as if we were super rich tai tais sitting there, sipping on our coffees. I wonder how life would be if I could be those rich tai tais for a day. LOL!

After that, it was camwhore time! Met Shine for the first time that day, and shes so lovely and friendly!
Thank goodness I was seated next to her because I knew nobody beforehand and her warmth made me feel so much more comfortable in that situation.

Here were the other "tai tais" who were there for the Media event as well!
